Effective Coordination of Care: The Role of the Hospitalist

This program provides a discussion with a hospitalist on the increasing role of hospitalists in healthcare facilities.  Communication responsibilities of the primary care physician and hospitalist are addressed, and strategies to improve communication processes between providers are presented.  Additional topics include ways to provide effective transitions in care from the inpatient to the outpatient setting, while reducing liability risk for physicians.

Target Audience

This program is intended for physicians in all specialties.  Non-physician healthcare professionals, including advanced practice providers, may also benefit from this risk management educational program and are invited to participate.
